Apple Revenue, Profit and Business Scale

Apple’s fiscal 2025 ended September 27, 2025. Apple reported $416.161 billion in total net sales, up 6% from $391.035 billion in fiscal 2024; fiscal 2024 sales were up 2% from $383.285 billion in fiscal 2023.

These fiscal years are not identical calendar periods: fiscal 2025 and 2024 each covered 52 weeks, while fiscal 2023 covered 53 weeks. Apple Inc. 2025 Form 10-K

Fiscal period Total net sales Change or coverage
2023 $383.285 billion 53 weeks
2024 $391.035 billion Up 2%; 52 weeks
2025 $416.161 billion Up 6%; 52 weeks

Apple’s fiscal 2025 gross margin totaled $195.201 billion. Products contributed $112.887 billion of gross margin and Services contributed $82.314 billion; these are gross-margin figures, not product or service revenue.

Apple’s scale can also be described by devices in active use. The company said its active installed base surpassed 2.2 billion devices worldwide at the end of calendar 2023, but that measure is not a count of unique people.

Apple Product and Services Sales Statistics

Apple’s fiscal 2025 product categories show both hardware scale and service growth. The category totals below are worldwide net sales, and the year-over-year changes are company-reported comparisons.

Category Fiscal 2025 net sales Fiscal 2025 change
iPhone $209.586 billion Up 4%
Mac $33.708 billion Up 12%
iPad $28.023 billion Up 5%
Wearables, Home and Accessories $35.686 billion Down 4%
Services $109.158 billion Up 14%

Apple attributed the iPhone increase primarily to higher Pro-model sales, while Mac growth was attributed primarily to laptops and desktops. Wearables, Home and Accessories is a combined reporting category, so its $35.686 billion does not represent headphones alone.

Services net sales were $96.169 billion in fiscal 2024 and $85.200 billion in fiscal 2023. Apple’s Services category includes the amortization of deferred bundled-service value, and the company attributed fiscal 2025 growth to areas including advertising, the App Store and cloud services. Apple Inc. 2025 Form 10-K

For additional historical context, fiscal 2023 iPhone net sales were $200.583 billion, Mac net sales were $29.357 billion and iPad net sales were $28.300 billion. These figures are reported category totals for Apple’s worldwide business.

Apple reports geographic segments generally using customer location and retail-store location. Greater China is a company segment and should not be treated as a mainland-China-only measure.

Apple segment Fiscal 2025 net sales Fiscal 2025 change
Americas $178.353 billion Up 7%
Europe $111.032 billion Up 10%
Greater China $64.377 billion Down 4%
Japan $28.703 billion Up 15%
Rest of Asia Pacific $33.696 billion Up 10%

The Americas remained Apple’s largest reported geographic segment at $178.353 billion in fiscal 2025. Japan recorded the fastest listed percentage increase, at 15%, while Greater China was the only listed segment with a decline, down 4% from fiscal 2024. Apple Inc. 2025 Form 10-K

Rest of Asia Pacific excludes Japan and Greater China. That definition matters when comparing the $33.696 billion segment total and its 10% increase with the other regional figures.

Apple App Store and Developer Economy Statistics

Apple’s Global App Store report measures an ecosystem broader than Apple revenue. Its estimates cover facilitated billings and sales, including transactions in which Apple may receive no commission, and some categories rely on third-party sources.

2024 global ecosystem category Facilitated billings and sales Share of estimate
Physical goods and services $1.014 trillion 78%
In-app advertising $150 billion 12%
Digital goods and services $131 billion 10%
Total $1.295 trillion 100%

The 2024 estimate of $1.295 trillion grew from $514 billion in 2019, a reported 152% increase based on revised third-party data and Apple’s methodology. More than 90% of the 2024 estimate had no Apple commission under the report’s definitions, so the total must not be read as Apple’s App Store revenue.

Average weekly App Store visitors exceeded 813 million worldwide in calendar 2024. Visitors are not necessarily unique users because the report does not provide a deduplicated population. The Global App Store and Its Growth

The report’s 2019–2024 category estimates included 162% growth for physical goods and services, 222% for food delivery and pickup, 334% for ride-hailing and 241% for digital payments worldwide. Regional estimates included 141% growth in U.S. digital-goods and services spending, 653% in U.S. digital-payment spending, 453% in China grocery spending and 243% in Europe food-delivery and pickup spending.

Apple Environmental and Supply-Chain Statistics

Apple’s environmental figures are modeled footprint estimates and include uncertainty, particularly in Scope 3 components. In 2024, Apple reported 15.3 million metric tons of gross CO2e emissions, down from 38.4 million in 2015; net emissions were 14.5 million metric tons after 0.7 million metric tons of offsets or removals. Apple 2025 Environmental Progress Report

Apple’s 2030 goal is a 75% reduction in gross emissions against the 2015 baseline. That is a target, not an achieved result.

In 2024, recycled or renewable sources represented 24% of the material in products shipped by weight. Fifteen priority materials represented 87% of total product mass shipped, and Apple reported 99% recycled gold, tin, cobalt and rare-earth elements in the relevant progress measures; these are separate goals covering specified batteries, boards and magnets.

Supply-chain program measures add operational context:

  • Apple suppliers sourced nearly 18 gigawatts of renewable energy in calendar 2024; this is supplier-sourced capacity, not Apple-owned generation.
  • More than 250 suppliers achieved at least a 40% water-reuse rate in Apple’s Clean Water Program.
  • More than 230 supplier facilities were Zero Waste-assured, while more than 480 participated across 15 countries and regions.
  • Apple conducted 893 independent third-party supplier assessments and 262 smelter/refiner assessments during the 2024 reporting period across more than 50 countries and regions.

Apple Workforce, Investment and Shareholder Statistics

Apple’s wider economic footprint includes jobs and developer activity beyond Apple’s payroll. The 2024 U.S. ecosystem report estimated that Apple supported more than 2.9 million U.S. jobs, including direct employment, supplier and manufacturer work, and developer jobs.

The same report said the Detroit Apple Developer Academy had trained more than 1,200 students since launch. The Global App Store and Its Growth

Apple’s supply-chain programs also report cumulative participation and remediation measures. These figures span different periods and should not be interpreted as current headcount or unique individuals.

Program measure Reported figure Period or scope
Supplier recruitment fees repaid More than $34.5 million to over 37,700 workers Since 2008; 2008–2025 report
Supplier training participation More than 8 million participants Since 2008
Swift coding program participation More than 340,000 participants Since 2017; 2017–2025 report
Supplier employees in disability vocational education More than 18,000 participants Since 2022; 2022–2025 report
Apps launched through supplier Swift program 6 apps Calendar 2024

The supplier training total counts participation, so one worker may participate more than once. Six apps developed by supplier employees launched on the App Store in 2024 through the Swift coding program, while the vocational-education figure is cumulative participation rather than an annual result.
